Hi All

Ive today tried to mount a new track light from Ikea to an LD11. The
light has 5*20W 12v halogen bulbs and a transformer which I was told in
the store that it was dimmable. However, when I turned it on the
transformer was buzzing and only 2 of the 5 lights came on very dimly
lit. So, I thought maybe the transformer isnt the dimmable sort that
works with ld11's so ill try a spare dimmer that I have. this gives
exactly the same problem :-(

Im hoping someone on the list has seen this kind of problem before and
may know the answer.

Heres my fault finding below.

LD11 is ok as ive tried it on a filament bulb.
i know the spare dimmer works as the same model is connected to the
bathroom lights via an LD11.
All of the fitments on the track lights are tight.
I even took out the LD11 and wired it direct to the light circuit and it
still gives the same probs

here's a link to the offending light

My guessing is a faulty track and/or lights but im hoping someone has
seen the same problem somewhere else and fixed it. I dont have really
want to drive all the way back to Ikea then find it was something
simple.

Thanks in advance

Stu Worrall
