RE: XM10U - same as CM12U?

Phil is right. The Xm10 is a white unit which transfers X10 signals
reliably from computer to powerline, and the CM12 is identical in all
respects regarding the colour.

If you want your computer to talk to X10 you are better off getting the
CM12.

Darryl.

Subject: [ukha_d] XM10U - same as CM12U?

My CM12U has stopped sending/receiving X10 signals even though the=20
fuse and through-socket are fine. It's just over a year old so I'm=20
rather disappointed. (Can it be fixed?)

The XM10U module appears to be a cheaper alternative to interface=20
with a PC, but without the built-in memory which I don't need.

Please can someone advise me if the XM10U will work with Homeseer and=20
other X10 software? Is this a sensible alternative as I don't want to=20
cough up another =A350? Thanks in advance.
