Hi All
Im about to have my first go at pc networking and need some
guidance. I purchased a refurbished computer for my sons to use and the
young guy in the shop told me i dont need any hubs or routers at this stage
since theres only 2 computers involved..I bought 2 network cards and the
guy
said its just a matter of using the install wizard on the second computer
(didnt mention my main computer)..Do i need to use the wizard on the main
computer..??? (ip addresses???).........
The main computer has the broadband modem on it and i have been told i need
to leave my main computer on for the second pc to have internet access..???
This will keep the boys happy and also allow me to continue with my xPL
development as i will be able to use Tonys Monitor with Ians Sender so any
suggestions much appreciated...
It i dont post in the next few days you know whats happened..........
Thanks
Frank
