RE: My Goal

>From memory (Someone please correct me if wrong.)
Yes.........
The latter Comfort UCM's have a mic and speaker connection allowing
connection to third party devises such as a PC.
Also I'm guessing here that....
As you can certainly talk to comfort door phones from a home phone that
a modem card with voice capabilities would achieve the same. (You would
need some voice type software with the modem, something like
supervoice.)
Having said that if you have a phone if every room you WILL have voice
contact with your door station. Like this:

Door bell pressed.
Internal house phones ring.
Answer from any phone.
Press a key on the phone to invoke talking to door station.
Press a key on the phone to release door.

If you need to see too....

Walk to your PC (Or even a TV set) and view the caller in real time.

This is probably a neater solution as it is perhaps likely you will have
a phone more readily available in each room or with a dect carry it
around. Then say "Hold on there a minute my friend I'm just going to
have a little look at you" and change your TV channel or log onto your
web page.

HTH.

Many thanks

Rob,

Will comfort with ACE allow you to talk and hear to/from the front door
>from
a PC, I have to admit to never looking at ACE and didn't know that was
possible. Must download it and have a look.

Cheers, Des.
