I've got some of those - but they're still bulky when you're talking about
8-10 wires in one area.
Just thinking about maybe crimping them into a RJ45 plug and using an
in-line coupler to extend the distance on some of my cables.

An alarm installer I know uses the automotive style red crimp barrel
connectors - twist the strands together and then crimp - he has never gone
back and found a fault due to this method yet (although the installer he
works for doesn't like him using them because they 'cost more' - go
figure!)
