RE: MV1000 users
I would like to see your "sample page" if it is not a problem?
I am using a PC that is not connected to my domain although is on the same
subnet mask and just use IE to view the pages.
I open IE with the vc-admin account and select camera 1, I then open
another IE session and use vc-admin again and this time open camera 2. I
managed to eventually have 6 IE browsers open but when I made one image
larger it killed all sessions! took about 10 minutes to start them again!
The reason I have tried this is because the "gallery" page will
only display 4 of the 6 cameras...

I like the idea of trying to make it go faster :)
I certainly couldnt be much slower :(
We have 8 users viewing 2 cameras each at the office - frame rate is 1
every
5 secs - which is ok for looking at the carpark etc., and when someone is
standing by the door.
I also have SurvellienceCam running at nighttime which record enough frames
to see what happens.
We dont use the servers HTML pages, just use a simple page on a local
server
with a reference to the jpeg stream
I can send you a sample page if you like, as i say 8 people viewing 2
camera's simultaneously everyday, and only reset the MV1000 about twice in
last couple of months.
Dean.

I am glad I am not the only one....
If I connect via VPN from work I can, eventually, see some of the cameras
but not all six at one time...I can not even do that at home!
The only way I have found to view any of the cameras is to go in using the
vc-admin account and change the dropdown box....often crashes but when you
log back into the thing the selected page is displayed...
Has anyone any thoughts of moving some/all of the hardware onto a faster
box? is it possible?
What about using the Mv1000 as a FTP server of some kind and viewing the
images another way? or am I talking utter bo***cks?

That may be possible, I've tried from home behind a Vigor Router, Office
has a Vigor too.
Anyone else have any suggestions ??
I wonder if Zonealarm has an affect at home too...

Same problem.
Don't know if the java plugin uses an odd port? I have an ADSL
router/firewall installed so that may also be blocking ?

I get - 'contacting server' then 'request failed'
Yes - the MV1000 is VERY slow :-(
Maybe this was why they went 'ti*s up' ???
Paul.

If you've got your MV1000 plugin installed on your browser, can you look
here for me :-
http://rolec.dyndns.info/cctv/camera1.html
http://rolec.dyndns.info/cctv/camera2.html
Can you see anything ??
I've been trying to view these from home, but doesn't work - I think its
because its soooo slow the browser times out before installing plugin.
With about 8 users we're getting 1 frame every 10secs or so :)
Dean.
