Yes, I did a plug-in for this, as did someone else (Justin?)
For super-flexible call logging, though, I can't recommend asterisk,
the open source pbx, enough. It completely rocks, not only for call
logging but in so many other respects too (like being able to rewrite
the caller id data stream on the fly so you can do name-number
lookup, support for selective call divert based on caller-id, support
for IVR with dynamic speech synthesis (great for remote device
control) etc etc etc).
