Thanks for the pointer I'll get that checked out. As a side issue....
I thought all MAC addresses were unique and issued by a central authority?
That's the idea of a MAC address isn't it?

Have you checked the MAC address?

I had a very similar problem when I added a second TiVo to my network and
both were using the same MAC address.  The address can be changed via
telnet by running /sbin/nic_config_tivo
