I can't talk with authority or technical knowledge BUT Eclipse are having
a=
fair few problems of late especially with routing etc and our in-house IT =
guys and our IT service providers have been pulling their hair out!=20
They have also had problems with their mail servers and we still have two
o=
pen calls regarding routing and email issues.
For the first time EVER we have been getting engaged tones on their
support=
lines also!
They have recently had to re-issue me with a new fixed IP after being
unabl=
e to resolve certain routing issues. I know of two other people who have
be=
en in a similar situation. Since my new IP all mail forwarding on my
domain=
fails and disappears in to a huge black hole, that calls has been open for=
a week and they still have not resolved the issue.

HOWEVER, they are still, responsive, helpful, admit when there is a
problem=
and I would still recommend them as an ISP over any other. At least they w=
ant to help when you have a problem!

The above experiences are all based on leased or ISDN connections BTW not
b=
roadband.

Many thanks

Apologies for the off-topic email but is anyone else on Eclipse with a SAR
7x5 router or any other router with a globespan chipset which is having
problems connecting? The solwise forums indicate the fix for the most part
is multiple restarts of the router but ive been unable to get any form of
connection for 7 days now even after multiple (10+) restarts. Anyone else
suffering?

Im aware Nildram fixed this problem with a cisco update but Eclipse using
Redback routers seem unresponsive to my problems.=20=20

Anyone in the london area got a spare router or frog they could lend me for
a little while?

Thanks
kieran
