Yep, 1 Master and Slave per Firewire-IDE board. They sell the boards
separately as well, and the 2-bay boxes have one interface and a spare
aperature for a second. So using a 2x5.25" bay drive cage would get
you at
least 3 HDs per box, possibly 4 if you're cunning...
