Nope but it should work well. I believe Comfort sell a unit to do just
this but as a transmitter in their case.

Has anyone here used or does use a PIR for their alarm, but used it to
house a IR receiver - which is wired back to a central IR
module/transmitter to Node 0...

Seems to be a neat little solution for IR receivers throughout the
house.
