No idea what they are like, etc.=0D

This model supports 'port-forwarding' for a range of ports although only =
=0D
10 entries (but IMHO better than 20 individual ports). Also appears a lot =
=0D
more user friendly.=0D
=0D
Further details at: www.actiontec.com (the USA site is better than the UK =
=0D
one!)=0D
=0D
Only drawback is that because it doesn't have an external antenna it means
=
=0D
the range isn't quite as good as some other products (but should be =0D
sufficient for a normal house). Specs. quote 30m (100ft) indoors, 152m =0D
(500ft) outdoors for 11mbps.=0D

Note: Reviews are for the standard Gateway version, i.e. without the =0D
built-in ADSL modem, but nevertheless are a good indication.=0D

My Granddad is going to get the BT ADSL service (tried to get him to get =
=0D
an eclipse or other acc =E2=80=93 but he=E2=80=99s adamant it has to be
BT!=
) =E2=80=93 their =0D
standard free signup and modem offer is a single PC modem (USB I guess). =
=0D
He also has a wireless AP connected directly to a desktop PC (crossover =0D
cable) and shares his current dial-up connection with a laptop.=0D
=0D
What=E2=80=99s the cheapest (good) ADSL router and modem box available?
=E2=
=80=93 has to =0D
be around the =C2=A350 mark I guess.=0D
