It sure was ...Didnt the 1966 World Cup Soccer go to extra time..... 2-2 i
think at full time ....

This was the first time i watched Rugby Union so wasnt familiar with the
rules...Didnt realise how exciting and fast moving this code of football
has become....Has come a long way from the days when players like Dave
Gibson and Willie John Mc Bride played (was Rugby Union they played
???)...........

Great sporting event ....It certainly cant do Rugby Union any harm....

Im a convert ;-)).....So Ireland better pick up their game for the next
world cup............

And looking at the reactions of the Aussie team it really did seem a shame
that the result was decided in the way that it was but then again if it had
gone to a sudden death playoff then it wouldn't have been a
"fair" way of
deciding either.
