I read about this on either the BBC or TheRegister, my net connection is
playing silly beggers 2nite so I can't check which one.
But there was a comment from Belkin on it.

Are you absolutely sure that this is real?
I can't imagine Belkin being stupid enough to put some sort of
"adware"
in
their firmware update - sounds more like one of those urban myths to
me...
...personally I've had no problems with my Belkin WiFi kit other than
one
weekend it locked up a few times. I reflashed the firmware and it's
behaved
itself impeccably ever since.
