John,

I seem to remember that the X-Box on analogue outputs scored poorly,
but the X-Box on digital outputs scored well.

I'd be interested in running a blind-test again with a wider range of
MP3 players, but "a full conference room with most of the audience
behind the rear speakers" isn't the best way to go :-)

Perhaps we should arrange "MP3 player afternoon"... If some
others
can provide a selection of MP3 players, then I'll provide a selection
of hi-fis at different price points to listen to them on.

Given the logistics involved in transporting MP3 players vs. amps and
speakers, I will, of course, volunteer the use of my house as the
venue... UNLESS (he hints heavily at someone he KNOWS is lurking), a
friendly hi-fi dealer list-member would like to volunteer???

Regards,

Mark
