Most folks have a switch on a table lamp etc. Switching it on and off then
has the same effect without that living on the edge bit ;-)) If otherwise
is a lamp module really the best solution?

Certainly with the lamp modules if you unscrew a bulb connected to the
module, such that it breaks the contact and then screw it back in, the
light comes on when the contact is made. I always thought this was a
lethal design fault; not a feature!
