Pinnacle ShowCenter
Hi all,
Just reading the article (http://tinyurl.com/uyy9) on
AutomatedHome.
Had a look at the Pinnacle website and got a bit confused at some of
the minimum specs for the server, namely:
DirectX 7-or higher-compatible graphics card
DirectX 7-or higher-compatible soundcard
Can anyone tell me why this is so if the server just streams A/V to
the player...? The only thing that I can come up with is that it is
required by the server software for some reason.
If this is the case, does anyone know if the software will run
in "bog-standard" mode with none of this fancy DirectX nonsense
going on...?
(My server has an old GFX card and no sound card and I wouldn't be
prepared to upgrade just for a piece of software to run)
