Fair point :-) I'm sure there's a way to do it, but my (brief) search
didn't bring anything up. A plumbers merchant is probably the best place to
start, or a plumber / engineering shop that could easily knock up an
adaptor. Join the adaptor to the waste pipe with flexible tubing e.g. car
radiator hose and you should be able to get a working system.

A bit Heath-Robinson but should do the trick.
