RE: 1Wire LCD Display

The circuit is based on an example that can be found in the app note for a
DS2408. Basically it's a 8 I/O output chip. You use 4 of the pins to set
the character and a 5 to do the sync that leaves 3 for char up/down/select.

Essentially it is sending a message a character at a time to the display
unit, looking at their schematic they have introduced a DS2505 which I'm
guessing stores the device name and ID. So the computer program is doing a
lot of the work. I'm guessing the way it operates is that when you click
send the program reads the DS2505's looking for the one that has say lounge
stored in it and that gives ID number for the I/O chip and the message then
gets sent one character at a time.
