RE: mobile phones

I love mine :-)

I received it on Friday last week (very impressed with livetelecom.com for
that) and have been using it since :-)

Battery life is awesome, as long as I don't have bluetooth on all the time!
I charged it fully on Saturday night, and Im still waiting for it to drop
one bar! I've already had a 7650 for a good while before, so unlike Peter
there was no "getting used to it" period, I just got stuck
straight in!

With GPRS, mobile internet is now just down to costs and whose portal is
best, all providers charge per meg transferred... It just depends who is
the
cheapest! I'm on Orange and pay something like 3 quid I think for 2meg
transfer per month, that does me quite adequately for WAP browsing. For
anything heavier you are going to need more!

Orange used to be able to claim that they were the fastest for data in the
UK, because they were the only network who support HSCSD (High Speed
Circuit
Switched Data) which would theoretically allow your mobile phone to connect
at speeds of upto 56k, although orange charged a healthy premium for this
privilege!

I suppose the next leap will be if 3 launch some sort of data
service(unless
they have already), but lets not go there! (eh Gerard! - both he and I know
the wonders of 3)

To answer the question "6600 or T610" I would say 6600 all the
time, cos I
hate Ericsson phones (I had the first T68 and that put me off for life!),
you really cannot beat the Nokia UI IMHO. To anyone asking the question
though, I would have to say that's its your phone, you are the only person
who can answer that one. Take both, play with them, see how they feel, how
you like it and make your decision based on that.

Any more opinions on the 6600? I asked in the Orange shop but they wanted
me
to have a t610! Which do you think is best and why?

Is Orange the best for mobile internet, I thought they were faster than o2
and vodafone?

How much does mobile internet access cost? Do you pay per minute to dial up
an isp or is it done by mb per month over gprs?

Thanks.
