Right click my computer; properties; hardware tab; device manager;
DVD/CDRom Drives; right click your sony; Properties tab; select
"Enable digital CD audio for this..."
That should do it.

Subject: [ukha_d] [OT] HELP - Ripping CD's under XP
Hi All,
Recently built myself a new PC and for the first time have ventured into
WinXP Pro having previously used Win98SE
I have installed Audio Catalyst 2.1 exactly the same as I used to use under
Win98SE but I dont have an option for Digital Ripping. The only choice
available is Analog via the sound card.
Any suggestions as to what I need to do the enable the digital options as
they are greyed out at the moment. The drive I am trying to rip from is a
brand new Sony DVD Rom drive so I assume it should support DAE with no
problems but something is obviously missing.
Just tried installing it on my Win2K Pro laptop and the ASPI and MSCDEX
options are greyed out on that as well :-(
Thanks
Keith
