Re: Re: Getting Ready for CBUS

Hi Dean

Havent blown any bulbs as yet but i have lost a channel on one of my
dimmers..This channel has 3 ..50 w ..low voltage halogen on it
......Personally i dont think the mcb,s will react quick enough therefore
if i put protection on my circuits i will use hrc fuses....

Frank

Havent experienced a bulb blow situation. Have you had problems ?

Not all lamps make MCB's blow - I dont think LV's trip the MCB, and if your
normal Tungsten filament lamp has an inline fuse it wont trip MCB either.

Dean.

Hi Paul

Need to be careful if you are using earth leakage circuit
breakers.. Do Clipsal recommend putting 1A Circuit brakers on each
channel ??? Mind you i have lost one of my channels so might be a
good idea to protect them although i prefer to use hrc fuses...

Dean...do the 1A circuit breakers trip ok when a bulb pops ??

Thanks
Frank
