Wirless streaming of DVD bitrates across 802.11b *DOESN'T* work at all ...
across 54g it does. (I do this on my lappy.)

Remember that wireless works like a hub rather than a switch so any
wireless
clients share the same bandwidth so two 54g clients won't be able to stream
DVD bitrates simultaneously (I've tried - real world bandwidth on 54g is
about 14-17Mbits/sec for my install and 3-4 Mbits for 802.11b.)
