Motorola Modem problems
I am fairly new to home networking and have run into a few problems
trying to network 3 PC's. I have a Motorola 4200 cable modem which
works fine when I connect straight to 1 PC. However I have recently
bought a NetGear router and now I cannot access the internet. The
router works fine and all the machines can see each other, but when I
try to connect to the internet it doesn't work. I have spoken to
NetGear and they said that it was be a problem with the modem not
synchronising with the router and that this was a known bug with
these type of modems. Has anyone else had the same problem or know of
a fix.
