Paul

I did speak to Vodafone, but they won't release the settings yet as it's
not
'officially' launched in the UK.

My company is getting quotes to fit the kit; Expansys seem to be the
cheapest place to buy it (note that the 112 kit is still available, but has
been superseded by the CK-1W).

<http://www.mphone.co.uk/acatalog/buy_Car_kits_21.html>
http://www.mphone.co.uk/acatalog/buy_Car_kits_21.html
quoted me GBP109 for
the kit, and GBP140 for the 'deluxe' fitting (no drill holes and radio
mute) into a 2003 CLK Cab.

Note that I said no drill holes; my previous Bluetooth installation was
entirely invisible apart from the call start/end button, but my company has
said that the new laws on 1/12 are ambiguous regarding the use of a BT car
kit, but are fine if the phone has a permanent holder in the car. Picking
up the phone to make a call is, apparently, illegal, but pressing button
whilst it's on a mount is not. Go figure.

Hi Peter,

I'd be moving from a 7650, which already has the Series60 (symbian based)
OS, so theres no problem there...

All the other factors you have put in seem to say to me that the 6600 is
just an improved 7650, in a different form factor, which is exactly what I
was hoping for!

On the MMS over GPRS front, ring your network and ask them to send you the
settings for a 7650, as that does it the same way and I have been able to
MMS and everything else on that on Orange without a problem for months..

If you are on orange, contact me for the details and I'll send them offlist
(if Orange data wont give them to you)

Glad you like it... Trying desperately not to order until I can see one
myself in the flesh... But failing even more at the minute!

By the way, where is your car kit comnig from and who is installing it?
(I'll be doing exactly the same thing, but not sure who to get to install
it
- was thinking of just taking it to my garage when it goes in for a
service...)

Thanks

P.
