I think USB is 5 meters, but you can put a signal booster/hub on that and
get it to 25.... or its 25 meters, and you can use boosters to get it to
100 meters :)

why did i attempt to answer this question!?

The cable needs to be pretty well made, so i'm not sure about cat 5 cable,
is this for USB 1 or 2?
