Pah!!
At my last calculation I had somewhere in the region of 2.4TB spread about
=
my house...
Media server =3D 5 x 120GB
File server =3D 5 x 120GB (holds an online backup of the media server for
t=
he purposes of being "worked on")
2 x External USB2/Firewire 250GB Drives (Offline backup)
My workstation =3D 1 x 200GB SATA
SWMBO's workstation =3D 1 x 120GB
Tivo =3D 1 x 120GB
Spares cupboard =3D 2 x 60GB & 2 x 30GB
Sky+ =3D 1 x 40GB
Laptop =3D 1 x 20GB
That lot adds up to (I think) 2.36TB
And I haven't even bothered to count the smaller stuff, like the various
4G=
B drives also in the spares cupboard, the spare laptop drive, and the PC's
=
in the loft waiting to be made into something useful.... oh, and there's
th=
e 40GB drive that may or may not be f**ked.. (the S.M.A.R.T diags say it
is=
faulty, but it was working perfectly until I took it out a couple of weeks=
ago...)
And I'm sure I'll have added at least 1 or 2 more 120GB drives to the
total=
before very much longer.... (Graham Howe tells me PC World has a good offe=
r on at the mo... 120GB Samsungs for =A350 inc.)
On a serious note though, - Graham, what configuration are you using
exactl=
y? - your post just said "files" - how are you ripping your DVD's
so as not=
to have to use a batch file to mount an ISO (which is also what I am exper=
imenting with currently)... - also another potential DVDLobby customer
here=
....
