That is the biggest problem I have now, almost everything works as I=20
want it to, but I can't afford the disk space required for all my=20
DVDs. I reckon that I will need about 2.5 Tb to do the job properly=20
and at the moment I am still on less than 1 Tb across my LAN. Once=20
250Gb drives get down to =A3100 I think I'll buy 10 of them and get it=20
sorted.

In the mean time I am continuing to tweak the set up to get it just=20
right, the only remaining significant problem is lack of a reliable=20
remote control solution. I am using a Gyration mouse to control it at=20
the moment which is very reliable but not very intuitive and too=20
expensive to be putting on multiple clients. I have an IR remote that=20
cam with the case and uses a built in receiver, but the software it=20
uses is not stable and had crashed after a 3 day period. I need=20
something that will sit there for weeks on end and then work=20
instantly when required.

It is fiddly to set up, but very powerful.

Me too, not found a way yet, but a complete rewrite of myHTPC is=20
underway and will provide a lot more customisation of the front end I=20
think.

Mine returns to the DVD menu screen just like a normal (non-PC) DVD=20
player. I then use a single key press (Escape I think) which quits=20
ZoomPlayer and returns to myHTPC. When I had the remote control, I=20
mapped this to the Eject button, but currently I am using right click=20
too as the remote is not stable.

I want to get some HA into my set up too, from things like access to=20
my HomeAutomator screens through myHTPC to items like xPL/xAP=20
notification of Caller ID and other messages onto the screen. It=20
seems to me that if I am running everything through the PC that such=20
a pop-up will be trivial, so no doubt the usual suspects will point=20
me in the direction of their lists very soon ;-)

I am also hoping someone will write a Tivo streaming screen for=20
myHTPC too, that way I could actually get to the point (funds=20
allowing) where all media is browsed and played from myHTPC and the=20
majority of kit and disks can disappear from the lounge forever! Now=20
if that doesn't have a high WAF I give up :-D
