Hi Andy,
I have order a few samples of the 20cd LED's yesterday so will see how they
look. I need something quick as SWMBO has asked about the strip lights
again
and I have not mentioned the LED idea. She is not big on techy stuff, but
if
I get it working and it looks awesome, then she will go for it.
The PCB idea would really make putting it all together much neater and if
it
looks good, SWMBO is more likely to accept it.
The cupboard lights are next if the first part works a treat.
Dave...

Sounds good. I would say that you're much better off with a small
PCB on the back of the LED. I fitted my LEDs directly into the
cabinets, so I had the soldering iron inside the cabinets, kneeling
on the worktop. Soldering the wires on solidly enough that they
didn't come disconnected easily was hard. In fact, 4 lights went out
at the weekend as one of the cables was knocked.
Yes, they are quite pricy, but very powerful. I like the idea of the
little 5mm LEDs. Personal taste, I suppose.
Question is ... who'll do it first? ;-)
Cheers,
Andy
