Thanks Rodney, that is a great idea. I hadn't thought of using something as
simple as ally strip.

I could use that with the chrome bezels (Rapid Electronics are far cheaper
than Farnel for these, by the way.)

B&Q sell some very nice 1000mm long aluminium  U channel, which is
finished
in appliance white.

I am using these, drilled for the leds, superglueing them in and the
channel
is perfect for wiring, the resistors and the diode to part rectify the AC
