VNC requires authentication, which is DES encrypted. AFAIK there is
no encryption of session data - you could tunnel over ssh if this is
of concern. Tight-VNC is leagues ahead of the original VNC in terms
of performance, and as I said before, I find it very responsive -
much more so than PCA.
