RE: LED lighting
LED lighting would look pretty cool in the kick panels in the kitchen as
well....
I was going to put low voltage halogens every so often to add some ambient
light to the kitchen, but this would look good as well me thinks....

An excellent idea! I could remove my existing strip lighting and replace
with a wooden bar studded with LEDs :) Several of the tubes have died and

CBA trying to source new ones as they aren't common sizes. Plus, SWMBO
moans that the heat from the control gear causes stuff on the bottom shelf
of the cupboard to go yucky.
