Thanks Tim - maybe I was exaggerating!!! ;) Sounds like my performance is
=
normal then although 1-2 seconds to draw each menu list etc feels like
minu=
tes!

Paul.

Paul,

We use it extensively at work and I think the delays are just par for the
c=
ourse. It is faster over a LAN than a phone line, but even then we still
se=
e delays of around one second - just long enough to have to concentrate on
=
what you're doing, rather than doing things instinctively.

How long is the delay really ? "a few seconds" does sound a bit
long for a =
LAN connection.

Over a phone line ? Well 2-5 seconds is typical for us (we connect to UK,
E=
urope, Middle East, USA etc.) - you get used to it but it's not ideal. It
i=
s, however, quicker than getting in a car or on a plane ;-)

If it makes you feel any better, one of our sites is experiencing a *10
sec=
ond* delay. It's over a phone line and to drive between the two locations
i=
s maybe 50 miles. It's much faster for me and I'm 400 miles away. Go
figure=
:-)

Apart form the delays - I like it. It's easy to use, particularly for some
=
of our guys whose first "language" is not "computers"
:-)

HTH :-)

Tim H.

P.S. FWIW I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in speed between
v9.=
2 & v10.5.
