Hi Frank,

>Yes it would be a wee bit expensive to fly to Melbourne ....

But worth it though!!

>LOL .....You mus think i live in Ramsey street ;-))

LOL... The guys I know from my trip to Bathurst, most of them
have pools and the one in Brisbane is superb.

Two things are stopping me. One is SWMBO does not like the
switches (I love them) and the second is that they will let
me install it all myself but it has to be commissioned by
them which is going to make it expensive.

I have therefore started my own design to work with a 4 wire
link instead of the 2 that C-bus uses. This will use +12-24V
power on one pair and CAN bus in the other pair. I plan to
have retrofit PCB's that go in behind the existing switches
and send the commands via the bus. No mains wiring required
within the switch box. Not the best solution but workable
with that SWMBO wants. I want to design some non-contact
switches using the Qprox sensors (I have a couple of 6 way
devices to try out) that go behind plain white blanking
plates with etched/engraved controls on the front. Just an
idea at the moment until I see how it works.

I have started the design of an 8 way dimmer module and a
4 way relay module. Same idea as C-bus but in different
boxes. I'll be putting some details up this week on the
website so will let you know when it is updated.

Regards for now
Dave...
