Following on, Ian has wandered round the conference areas and has
determined
that "you can, standing on one leg, with your lappy above your head,
in a
one mm square area of the main room, get a wifi connection... as long as
you
dont breathe" [before his access ran out]

without an antenna."

"adding even a fairly low gain omni or a little panel antenna would do
the
trick nicely ;)"

So the logical conclusion is... can anyone oblige with some form of
antenna?
Looks like we could have a share of 512K ADSL over WiFi for the duration.

Cost is £15 for 24 hours' access.
