I have just been offered soome Metcal SP200 soldering irons (second=20
user) at =A3100 each. Whilst this may sound a lot for a soldering iron,=20
if you have used one of these products then you will NEVER want to=20
use an ordinary iron again. These are so good that I actually=20
considered buying one new for my own use (I now have two second user=20
ones).=20
Retail price for these irons new is circa =A3280.=20
The irons have a unique interchangeable tip system allowing the one=20
iron to to do everything from fine pitch surface mount through to=20
soldering up metal shielding cans and big power through hole=20
components. The tips are constant temperature and have a thermal=20
capacity that has to be experienced to be believed.=20
