I'll second that (Audigy card).

I've got one in a Shuttle PC linked to my amp via multi channel output -
sound and quality is breathtaking (especially playing 5.1 DVD-Audio through
it). No sign of any noise etc (it's a very quiet card).

This is seeming like deja vu. I had a SB Platinum Live when i got my audigy
ex box and had exactly the same thoughts. In the end i decided to buy an
audigy rather than risk damaging my SBLive or the breakout box - the audigy
is a far suprior card to the SBLive - you will not regret getting one.

Thanks Simon.

I presumed that all the Audigy packs would use the same card, and just
provide different "other bits" to differentiate them... - would
make sense
for Creative to only make 1 variety of the base card...

Interstingly, I just dug an older SB-Live! card out of my spares bin, and
intriguingly, that also has the same expansion header on the back of the
card, labelled AUD_EXT, with the correct pin arrangement to fit the ribbon
cable supplied with thie Audigy drive...

What do you think the chances are it will work with it?
