If they are fully sealed they should be ok....Are the ones you have
specifically for indoor use only....???

Can anyone recommend a sensor for a garden gate (solid wood type). I
think I want some kind of contact closure type or something else that
will tell me when its open (even a crack) - so I know when my dog's
trying to escape.
