RE: Plasma panels - what to choose?
OK, at the moment, it looks like I'm leaning more towards the Panny than
the
Pioneer, due to:
Panny = 1366x768 Pioneer = 1280x768
Panny = 3000:1 Pioneer = 900:1 contrast ratio
Plus the Pioneers VGA input is front-mounted, which I definately *don't*
want...
Plus the Panny has the RS232 control, which I definately *do* like... :-)
So my unanswered questions are:
Does the Panny have any fans / fan noise? - the pioneer is stated to be
fanless/silent....
Where are the various input sockets on the Panny? - the site doesn't
specify... - I'd much rather have the VGA socket on the back...
Can I easily use the "unusual" resolution of the Panny with a PC?
-
obviously I'd easily use 1280x768 as a standard resolution, but I guess
1366x768 might need some specific drivers or graphics hardware?
Questions, Questions.....
