RE: Re: X10 RF Wall Switches

Thanks Malcolm.

I've taken a look at the WGL unit and, while it is very neat, I don't
have any serial ports left on my HA PC and I suspect range may be a
problem. Therefore, if I'm going to be able to use those two switches I
think I'm going to need a standard US X10 RF transceiver. Has anyone
tried using a standard US X-10 RF receiver plugged into a US-UK mains
adaptor ? Will this work?

I'd be a shame not to get some use out of the switches, but I don't want
to waste yet more money obtaining a US transceiver only to find that
won't work in the UK either!

Thanks,

Julian

All is not lost though Julian. I have both US and UK RF stuff working
happily together in my HomeSeer HA set up. To quote from an earlier
message (74658)...

"The PIRs all send signals back via an X-10 TM-13 RF receiver (the UK
ones) and a W800RF32A from WGL Designs (the US ones) that works well
and has greater range than the UK receiver. I also have a few SS13
stick-a-switches dotted about the place."
