Yup...
Asterisk provides the option of bridging conventional PSTN comms with
IP comms - so that you can use one handset (analogue or IP) to place
all calls, as well as the more conventional, but richly featured, PBX
support for voicemail etc.
The only catch with asterisk is the number of PCI slots you need. I
haven't got enough!!
