X10 RF Wall Switches

Folks,

Has anyone had any problems mixing and matching US and UK X10 RF
devices?

On a recent business trip I picked up a couple of very cheap stick-on
X10 RF transmitter keypads in a local Tandy store (at $15 each, just too
cheap to resist!). These look identical to the ones sold by both
SmartHome (http://www.smarthome.com/4095.html)
and Lets Automate
(http://www.letsautomate.com/10185.cfm?)
so I assumed that they would
work OK with a standard UK TM13U module.

Unfortunately, the units refuse to talk to my TM13U. I've established
that they both work on 433Mhz, but are there other differences that
could stop them communicating?

Not a big deal as the US keypads were so cheap, but it would be nice to
get these working if I can.
