Not 100% sure if this will do what you want as it requires some software to
be written, but I use their LPT stuff and it works great.

Hi guys,

I'm sure someone has mentioned this in the past, so asking for info..

I would like to have a look at the conversation which goes on between a
bit
of kit, and a PC application. Ideally, if there was a utility which looked
to the original App like it was a COM port, capturing everything that goes
between the application being analysed and the *real* com port, that would
be perfect.

The manufacturer isn't exactly playing ball.. either they don't actually
know any more what the protocol used was (it's old kit), or they aren't
letting on..
