I started playing for a veterans team recently and it seems to be expected
that pretty much everyone gets injured in every game. In fact they never
play more often than every three weeks for that very reason - and that's a
proper league. They let you have as many substitutes as you like (one team
they played before I started apparently had approx 20 subs, makes for a
decent crowd too). Also makes a change to have a ref 20 years younger than
any of the players.

Cant help I'm afraid, not my area of expertise

I havent suffered a Sports Injury for over 27 years.....

.... co-incidently I havent played any form of sport for the last 27
years either. How else could I have created such a well honed UKHAer
physique :-)
