I want to get some sort of motion detection going for my back garden. I
don't want to get a floodlight with a PIR on it, I would prefer some form
of PIR on the outside wall, which then sends X10 either directly or via a
closing contact, to turn on some lamps or the radio or something inside
the house via Homeseer.

I'm not impressed by the X10 Floodlight unit as I don't need to light a
stadium, and don't want to mount the unit on the wall with no bulbs in.

Anyone got any ideas ?

I initially thought of drilling through the back of a internal wall socket
which is on an external wall, and using one of the newer extra small X10
modules within the socket somehow, but don't want to go and buy one if the
plan is a non-starter.

Someone must have done this before, so anyone got any help ?

Cheers.
