I'm not aware of any boxes that don't suffer the power problem, though I
belive the Amstrad ones were the worse of the bunch.  But I'm not a guru on
these matters so wait to be proven wrong...

I use a slightly different method that has worked reliably for nearly 9
months - Every day @ 5:55am Pronto sends out a "Sky Standby"
command, and at
5:57am it sends out "Sky".  Never had a lockup since.
