> Er, Hatfield?
Yup ... That place just north of the M25 that almost everyone with kids
knows as "We're at Hatfield tunnel now so it you can just hold on a
couple
of minutes more then we'll be at South Mimms and you can go there..."
> Whats' going on there then? I though UKHA03 was in Scotland?
Nah ... Its just that occasionally some of the UKHA_D(England) members
decide to go and see the UKHA_D(Scotland) members to try to make sure
they're up to speed on all the latest developments in technology - such as
electricity and telephones. We do the same with UKHA_D(Ireland) too but
that's more difficult as everything there needs to be made out of potatoes.
UKHA_D(Wales) we just gave up on.
The *REAL* UKHA2003 is in Hatfield on the 17th and 18th of May where you
would be able to see some of the most physically perfect and finest honed
minds and bodies discussing the intricate subtelties of quantum physics,
nanotechnology and which sci-fi babe you'd rather be stuck in a telephone
box with a large jar of Nutella with.
This gathering of perfectly developed and completely teetotal specimins of
manhood (and womanhood coz we don't differentiate between us and the
chicks)
will be taking part in such diverse events as "Lets see if the voice
recognition can understand anyone from Scotland", there's the
"Pin the
marker in the calendar to see when the KAT5 switcher will arrive"
sweepstake
and of course as soon as a few of the old boys see that I'm drinking beer
on
the Saturday evening there'll be frantic betting going on there too ... Not
to see if I actually do lump anyone that I've had a ruck with over the last
year but to see how many pints it takes before I'm fast asleep. (Ken,
Calum,
Scott and Graham Howe need not comment here - just enjoy your insider
knowledge on this and split the winnings with me.)
> I'm from Hertford, so could pretend to visit my folks!
Anyone know any good Hertford jokes? I have someone else I may need to
offend. ;-)
