I too have a Vigor 2600 ADSL router. I had one or two problems with
connectivity early on when I tried to keep up to date with firmware
releases (including betas). I've given up with firmware upgrades and
now it's very much in a fit and forget state - it so reliable. I
can't recall the last time I had to re-boot it - months ago.

I bought it on-line from Comsal (http://www.comsal.co.uk/index.html).
At the time UK stock was in short supply and they happened to have
some at a reasonable price. Not sure how they compare today. They
were very fast to deliver and tech support was helpful too.

I've a 6-port Netgear hub and a Belkin WAP hanging off it serving a
home network of seven PCs.
