those of you who don't have broadband may have been uninterested in the
VOIP topics of late, however, I've just been informed that Free World
Dialup is implementing a solution for dialup and lower bw users:

"'Free World Dialup - LITE' is like the Free World Dialup
except it caters to those who do not have broadband access.
Now you can call your friends that don't have cable or DSL!!!
We have bandwidth and codec control features in development
that improve the Internet telephony experience for these
users and the FWD team is developing a certification
plan for Softphones and IP Phones that can be used in
these low bandwidth environments."
