We have one here - but its hard to top Matthew's description.
Pogo have a sort of proxy server that compiles the pages you're looking
for,
compresses them and squirts them out to the Pogo, which is why the speeds
are so good.

Using the phone is pretty cumbersome, and the front lit screen is no where
near as good as the backlit ones you get on, say, iPaq.

We use it for demoing our internet accessed monitoring 'on the move' to
potential customers, particularly images from CCTV/webcams, and for that
its
great.

Matthew - did your friend who got it converted to take the Pay as you go do
it through carphone warehouse, or Pogo? I'd be interested in doing the
same.

I think there was a little mini demo at UKHA2002,
Sorry I can't remember the guy's name, but the company he was with
did an alarm systems demo
